Before I Fall- Review

Before I Fall Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver
Publisher: HarperCollins

What if you had only one day to live? What would you do? Who would you kiss? And how far would you go to save your own life?

Samantha Kingston has it all—looks, popularity, the perfect boyfriend. Friday, February 12th should be just another day in her charmed life. Instead, it’s her last. The catch: Samantha still wakes up the next morning. In fact, she re-lives the last day of her life seven times, until she realizes that by making even the slightest changes, she may hold more power than she had ever imagined.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this book, I thought it was amazing! It made me realize how little time we have and the many things we take for granted. Reminded me very much of the way I was in high school and how I used to think that popularity was so important. Samantha gets to make changes to her life and her friends after she has a terrible accident. She has to wake up and live that same day seven times until she realizes what she needs to do and her purpose for reliving the same day. I cried of course, because it is very sad the way she and her friends treat the other less popular kids in school. I liked the message and the choices that Samantha ends up making and how she changes towards the end. I recommend this book to all, beware that there are some bad words in it. It's still an awesome book, Lauren Oliver tells an amazing story about friendship, love and the choices we make that affect our lives and the ones around us.

Thanks to Barnes & Noble First Look Book Club for sending me this ARC. There will be a discussion about the book starting next week: http://bookclubs.barnesandnoble.com/t5/First-Look-Before-I-Fall/bd-p/Before
